I agree with everyone that the Astros are not going to make the playoffs this year, but it can turn quickly. They have Altuve, Springer, Kuechel, Cosart, among others, so they may only need a couple of pieces to put them into contention. Look at how quickly the Rays turned from 2007 (last) to 2008 (World Series).

The Astros have good prospects, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in playoff contention soon and really once you make it to the playoffs everybody has a shot at the title, so I'd say it's definitely not out of the question.

Um…the Astros haven't been in the NL Central since 2012.

The Astros have several good prospects but will not be a contender for at least 5 years,they are in a very tough division.
