A boxing session in my humble (read: arrogant) opinion MUST have the following to be considered a boxing session.
1. Warm up.
2. Bag work
3. Pad work with a partner.
4. Sparring
6. Cardio
7. Plyometrics, calisthenics, ect.
8. Warm down.
If it has most of the above, you should be okay.
Maybe, as a beginner, you don't do this, but do you see others doing it? If not, it's a McGym for sure.
The layout of the gym is the same, so you might see similar training due to equipment, but it really depends on the coach. The UFC gyms don't have a set teaching materials or anything, so one place will do things one way and another place will do something different. You'll just have to go check it out yourself.
I can't be certain but for me it sounds like a McDojo. It sounds to me like it's a fitness gym that tries to lure in more customers by adding UFC to their name. And to be honest you have only yourself to blame. You have clearly done no research whatsoever. The UFC, or Ultimate Fighting Championship, is an organization that promotes MMA, mixed martial arts. It has absolutely nothing to do with boxing. Boxing has other organizations such as the WBA, World Boxing Association. I hope you haven't signed any contracts.

I just signed up for some boxing classes at my local UFC gym...
instructor is cool, equipment is good etc.. so no complaint BUT it seems like all they do is train on a punching bag...
Has anyone ever tried UFC? Is it any good?
I mean I would like a club that teaches on bags but also helps us develop real combat techniques...so I am kind of concerned this is not the right place for me...
