If all you've been doing muay thai for a year without any sparring, then you have no fighting skills. Sure, you know how to kick pads and understand the mechanics of a clinch but that's pointless if you can't use it in a real fight.
Go on the streets and go into an alley, there you will meet four black men armed with baseball bats. Their names are Joey, Jerome, Rick, and Tommy. They will see how good you will be
This is a joke, haha, now laugh.
There's a possibility of this being true.
Try a sparring class. A year of experience should more than prepare you for it. You won't really know or improve much without trying.
try challenge Mike Tyson for street fight and see :X
If you have to ask, then no you are not.
It could be, but I don't know for sure. Martial arts? Yeah. I joined Thai boxing and I've been doing it twice a week for nearly a year. I can only just about bear the hard warm-ups (trust me, their harder and longer than the warm-ups for most, if not all martial arts. If you don't believe me, try it and you will). I can't hit the pads with proper impact because my limbs are tired from the warm-ups (which are the hardest part of the training session). I do hit them SOME bit properly, though. I don't enter tournaments, because I'm not experienced enough. I don't get into real fights, because I'm not that kind of person. How will I know how good at fighting I am? Yes, it is important.
