I think swimming and beach volleyball was probably a high point for these games for me, even though I'm a huge track and field fan. I didn't get the opportunity to see much of the track and field finals.
The low point was NBC's coverage here in the United States. Handball and diving at all hours of the day, but none of the big track and field events were shown live for us - in my time zone, many of the races that I wanted to see should have been on TV right as I was getting home from work. Instead, they chose to hold them over until prime time later in the evening. I can't stay up during the work week until 11 just to watch the Olympics, no matter how much I want to see something.
Gabby Williams (of the United States) winning gold in the women's all around gymnastics final.
And Queen rocking the closing ceremony of the games, and the national anthem of England, which of course was "God Save The Queen."
I am American and I really enjoyed watching Gabby Douglas win gold in the individual Gymnastics.First African American to ever win in Gymnastics I think.Very nice too say you saw history happen right before your eyes.I also liked Mexico/Brazil soccer game.Beautiful win.
