Would you like an almost completely open martial arts tournament?

Nope, I do not want to see this...I really think that a sport should have rules for the safety of the athletes and the appropriate head gear and gloves...In addition with head gear and gloves, it tends to attract better crowds and more quality is to be seen in general. Athletes are humans and they deserve safety and money and fame for this, is the worst thing...What would be next? Something like the hunger games?

Now, if someone wants to street-fight the one way or the other, he/she can do it easily as a hooligan....hooliganism is not a sport though. For more real violence he/she can go to Syria at the moment...Then when he/she comes back, he/she may see martial arts differently, perhaps in a more peaceful and relax manner...:)

This was how the UFC started basically, the uproar it caused was huge and thus had to change the rules and format to make it more feasible as a sport rather than illegal fighting. Governments will ban this sort of fighting as soon as it is promoted.

id like an tournament to decide to new welter weight champion

the SAME nite

have 16 fighters ranked on opposite side of each other according to rand

that's 8 fights in all , have 2 fighters on stand by and put it on ppv

of course they'd need to bring back the stomps and soccer kicks as they

are no different than a cro cop left high kick in terms of efficiency

just me 2 cents

No sporting association would officiate or approve of this and no insurance company would sign up for it either. This will never happen in most westernized countries. Old school UFC was so cool because it really was kind of like this.

No, that would be ridiculous. 1 round for 30 minutes? Are you crazy? And what sort of chance can a 120 lbs girl have against a 300 lbs guy? And if you have no gloves the fight would be extremely short lived. No one would fight. Use your head man.

they already exist in africa and the middle east they have those types of competition, people also die in those completions. the only difference is there is no prize and they have even less rules then you posted

Like,

No gender restrictions.

Minimum age of 18 (Maybe younger with parental consent)

No age maximum, if health screening is passed.

No weight classes.

Only shorts allowed (And sports bras for women) ((No gloves, no cups, etc...))

1 round, 30 minutes. If no winner, then judges decide, or draw.

Less rules than The UFC. (Almost anything goes. Fish hooking, eye gouging, and small joint manipulation still banned.)

Huge cash prize.

Your thoughts?
