Doing origami might teach unconscious meditative effective movement like polishing cars in that Karate Kid scene, but it's no martial art. Unless you learn how to make cranes out of razor wire.

There are a wide variety of traditional Asian arts that were often practiced by the elite classes like the Samurai. That does not mean they were part of the "bugei"... The fighting arts of the Samurai.
Origami is not a martial art.
Origami teaches precision and patience. While precision and patience are part of martial arts it is not all that is needed in martial arts and so does not make origami a martial art.
