The people saying that were not yet born when Gracie Jiu Jitsu proved itself as a dominant fighting style in the UFC. The UFC was so poorly managed in 1995, that the owners could not afford to pay Royce Gracie more money each fight, and Art Davie actually tried to pay Royce less, so he left for Pride and other MMA organizations.
Kron Gracie is making his MMA debut in late 2014 and I think he's going to prove that once again technique usually triumphs over ground-and-pound.
If you believe them it probably does to them but I think Gracie is good.
people are entitled to their own opinion, Gracie Jiu Jitsu has done enough over the years to prove itself as a wonderful martial art. Most people that say this either dont understand the style, have only trained BJJ (which is different), or they are no good at the style.
