Who would win this fight?

If you had a world class black belt in Brazilian jujitsu vs a world class rugby player who would win the fight and how would the fight go down ?

This is a ridiculous question.

If it was rugby then it would be the rugby player

a fight will be the best fighter. This 99.9% of the time will go with the black belt in Jiu Jitsu

Considering nearly all rugby league and rugby union clubs employ grappling instructors to work with their their playing roster and teach them the finer arts of grappling for game purposes i would say the answer is obvious.

I worked as a sports scientist and grappling instructor at 2 professional rugby league clubs in the NRL and no one at either club would be able to beat me or even last more than 20 seconds for that matter and i was just a woman in their eyes but their opinions soon changed.

Ay, Shaeek is right. This question was asked not too long ago either and I gave a poor answer without doing research. Shaeek enlightened me and she is right. Rugby player are now trained in grappling arts.

Still, I would bet my money on the Black Belt in BJJ.

Rugby player would tackle the BJJ guy, then get choked out or get his arm broken. One guy's trained to knock a ball around, the other guy is trained for (a very specific but useful method of) fighting. It's not even a contest.

Depends on how specialized the BJJ fellow is.

I've watched a competitive club level BJJ student learn the downside of only learning a single part of his art when a club level Muay Thai student four times knocked him on his butt then stepped back and waited for him to get back up again. No way in hell he was going down after him but since the BJJ guy hadn't actually learned to deal with a striker he had nothing on his feet either. The reason I bring it up as relevant is because the Thai dude put him down twice in those four with shoulder checks.

Who's the best at basketball? A football player or a baseball player? That is essentially the same thing you're asking.

It'll go down like going to a swim. Rugby player will start walking around and until he looses his footing. He'll go wtf and bjj guy starts advancing in positions on the ground. The Rugby guy won't know what to do, and he will start to panic and flail to no avail. The bjj guy will slowly creep up on him until he chokes him out(or snaps a limb).

In a fight the Brazilian jiu jitsu man would win easily. He would take the Rugby player to the ground and make him submit. It should not take long to do so. If they went out on the field to play a game of Rugby the result would be reversed.

the practitioner of the ancient martial arts of rugby is the obvious choice.

how is it possible to comply to play between rugby and marshal art?

I can't tell if you're serious or not.
