The Gracie family and large extended family has long held a running fued between them, there are about 4 or 5 sections of the family that have differing opinions and even training methods for the style. It is basically all the same curriculum but taught differently.
These sections NEVER agree on anything they fight over everything from brand logos to who is the better style and runs the better program they have even sued each other. This does not mean they are not still friendly with each other but it means the rivalry runs very deep and has at times threatened to break the family apart.
The one thing that all these sections can agree on and that all GJJ and BJJ artists all over the world agree on is the Rickson Gracie is the best hands down. He is phenomenal and he treats his body as a temple and very much delves into more traditional training methods of other styles.
