When a person becomes a black belt in martial arts?

hat means they can adapt to certain instincts if someone tries to hit them right? Like an automatic reflex blocking it kinda like spider-man right?

It's different in every sport. That's what I believe. In my sport, black belt means that you mastered the techniques, applied them, and can teach them. Professors get to decide when you're a black belt and it is a HUGE honor. The path to becoming a black belt means being humble and still learning from every belt, perfecting your techniques even more, and respecting everyone that decides to put on the Gi from a beginning white belt all the way to the black and red belt above you.

Not necessarily. Each school have their criteria for a 1st degree black belt and they are not all the same. While you probably have some degree of reflex response, you really have not fully developed it.

A 1st degree black belt is like a high school diploma - it does not end there. You have college and from college there is undergraduates degree, graduates degree, and Ph.D. And even if you did get the highest degree available from college, the Ph.D., you still do NOT know it all - you still have to keep learning if for nothing else but to stay current or else you fall behind.

When you become a black belt you instructor teaches you and he selects the wife you dont want.

All black belts are not created equal. On top of that, Shodan or 1st degree black belt is really the beginning of your serious training. And the term translated mean beginner.

Now with that said, someone who has trained hard and properly for the years it takes in a respected art to become a black belt develops good reflexes, techniques and instincts. This combination is what allows us to be able to quickly and instinctively react as someone who has to think about it is too slow to defend themselves.

As for the spiderman reference movies, books, comics, etc aren't real. And I know most of the martial artist I know don't think they're super heros or superhuman.

Black belt in martial arts means that you are familiar with the basics of your martial arts style and that you are now a serious student. That's all. Nothing more.

While you might have developed better reflexes and your reaction is faster than the average person due to your training, it does not mean that you have perfected anything.

that means they can adapt to certain instincts if someone tries to hit them right? Like an automatic reflex blocking it kinda like spider-man right?
