Whats on your top 3 martail arts to try?

1. Capoeria.

Okay, I can't dance worth a damn so combining dancing and fighting might not be such a bright idea but I imagine it would be damn good fun to try.

2. Judo/College Wrestling

I have never lived near a Judo school and Australian schools don't have College Wrestling teams.

3. AKBAN Ninjitsu.

Bujinkan was rubbish training and very much a scam but AKBAN is at least honest about being a recreated martial art using different martial arts to fill in the gaps. Makes me think of Jurassic Park using frog DNA to fill in the gaps - sounds like a recepie to create monsters.

I think this is really the wrong question. It's like which are the 3 best martial art, you only worded it different and as you know, there is no best. I got into a style because it was supposedly the best style for me at the time and hated it. I learned very little. Then I met a different teacher. Long story short, I now teach this style.

Bottom line, your question should be who is the best teacher not style. A style does not guarantee good training or that you will learn something. A good teacher does. So always go with the best teacher.

My top 3:

1. I would LOVE to try out sambo and train it. There used to be a school where I lived but it took me too long to get there with public transport.

2. Capoiera. Not saying I would do it for the purpose of self defense and I don't think it works for that purpose. However it's a lot of fun. I have a friend from Brazil who showed me some moves. Unfortunately I'm about as graceful as a refrigerator.

3. Eskrima or krav maga. I would like to try these when they are taught out in a correct way. Unfortunately in today's world there is a lot BS surrounding these arts. But training krav maga or eskrima from a good source would be pretty cool.

I am currently learning Sanda in my spare time in China and that is one of the top ones for me. I would also learn to love Pencak Silat and Muay Thai. Other ones on my list would be Eskrima and Combat Sambo. I did Krav for a while at a good school and would love to do that again.

Also you might want to check out Sanda/Sanshou, it would be pretty easy to learn coming from a boxing background.

My top 3

Sambo

5 animal Kung Fu

Sanschou

As a ex boxer and long time judo guy I want to try gjj, karate a style jirgo kano recomrnds there's a few I think and something like peaceful like aikido or tai chi I'm not shure but would think it would be cool to try a really sport heavy art.
