Nothing really good to say about the guy. He doesn't just trash MMA, he also trashes JKD and other martial arts. His criticisms are not based on logic, but on homophobia (in the case of MMA), supposition, hero-worship, etc. He's an emotional guy with a mouthpiece. The level of immaturity he shows removes all possibility of me taking him seriously as an instructor. Why would you even want to train under a guy who only ever (from what I've seen, anyway) bashes everyone else? What kind of insecurity does that speak to? I dunno, I personally have a bit of a dislike for anyone who gives themselves a title ("sifu", "sensei", "master", whatever) without actually being in a position of instruction over me, but that's my personal bias.
Bottom line, most of the martial arts community I know of (not just the MMA folks) see him as a punchline at best, and filth at worst.

He bad mouths other schools on the area. I know of one he had a rant about, the guy he was talking about is in the same area, I think within 15 minutes or less. When the guy he was ranting on saw it he simply said in reply, I think Freddy took it down (the reply), come visit me any time. Then gave the hours and days he would be there. Guess what, this Freddie moron would not come to "visit" and still won't. It was made very easy for him to meet the instructor in person but Freddie won't meet. He is scared out of his mind. I think that is why he usually talks about guys too far to get to him. I wish he did take up the offer to visit. It would have been the end if this Freddie moron.

There is a guy on Youtube called Sifu Freddie Lee and he runs Freddie's Modern Kung Fu in Chicago. I found him on the internet while looking for Gracie instructional videos. He said he was a former police officer in Evanston, IL. Is his school any good?
