What is the difference between MMA and UFC?

I've heard somewhat that UFC is hosted on television but what about MMA? Is that hosted on TV?

MMA is mixed martial arts. It's a general label, like swimming. UFC is a type of competition, so it's a specific swimming tournament owned by specific people and sponsors.

Anyone can say they are in MMA, whether they go to a gym or not. UFC requires actual credentials and records, medical etc.

some doork coined the term mma ,although catchy and has a nice ring to it

it is somewhat misleading , a more appropriate term is eithe nhb

no holds barred or cage fighting so when u hear mma just interpret it with

nhb and u should be fine

ufc is event of mma

MMA is mixed Martial art. UFC is the company that runs it. Its like the difference between WWE and wrestling

Not much really.
