What is the best martial art to end an attack?

It is not the style, so much as how it is taught. Most schools determine how they will approach training and advancement. Some are strict and focus on traditional systems, while others have taken a different course. I train in ITF style TKD and am a third degree black belt. I can end a fight, and have, with one move. However, I have seen evidence of some horrible training and standards, from students looking to transfer. This appears to hold true for other styles, although my personal experience is limited to the style I work with. After 19 years, I've seen a lot.

Find a good teacher I would say. Just take like 20 trial lessons and judge which teacher you think will teach you most.

Boxing is the best. Headkicks are for the idiots. Liver shots are for the killers.

Another good few are wrestling and Jiu Jitsu.

Any style aside from aikido and Tai Chi could work in theory. Personally I go with BJJ as you choose how much force you're using to control and end the fight. Nothing like going home safe and next thing you know you have cops at your door because you hit a guy too much or too hard.

In REAL fights--that is fights that are one on one and to some extend a handheld weapon-- grappling > striking. And krav Maga is too deadly to rely on for street safety. Again, excessive force is so easy to use when in self defense situations which is why I rely on grappling before I rely on striking

That depends on the situation.

Jijitsu

It's not about the style.. It s about you.. What wrong with boxing?

Any martial system when properly applied can be effective in self-preservation. If you are looking for something non-traditional then Krav Maga CAN be a good option if you find a legitimate center to train in.

Either of these links can direct you to legitimate facilities, hope there's one in your area. Good luck, enjoy the training.

Depends not so much on the martial art, but the person and the intent. Any martial art with a legit well respected teacher who isn't a product of a mcdojo will do.

As for a more specific answer look at Muay Thai or Kyokushin Karate and MMA.

But as mentioned it's not the art, it's the intent of the fighter and the ability to "turn up the heat" to end an attack in a quick, brutal, and ruthless manner.

I am 26 years old and have had some boxing training but I had a head injury a few years ago and was red flagged for pro fighting now I would like to learn a good martial art with strikes for knockouts to end a fight quickly. What would be the best martial art for me I am a male 190 pounds I can still do a full contact martial art even though I was red flagged for pro fighting now I want to learn a martial art that is affective in

Self defence is Krav Maga a good one i don't realy see the need for disarming but more hand to hand against intermediate fighters who want to pick a brawl thanks
