Eddie Bravo is the founder of 10th planet Jiu-Jitsu. And it is kind of like submission Wrestling.
Shinya Aoki, Joe Rogan, Chuck Liddell, Dan Hardy and that's really the only practitioners I know.
10th Planet JJ is Eddie Bravo's version of BJJ. It's ostensibly no-gi (although gi pants are often worn). Bravo, despite never having competed in MMA, has the goal of making 10PJJ an MMA-jiujitsu system. As a system, it emphasizes Rubber Guard, a version of the high guard that requires some flexibility; a sweep-based half-guard game; and attacks from the "truck"/leg-ride position from the back, including hip cranks and the "Twister" spine lock.
Shinya Aoki and George Sotiropoulos are well-known practitioners of 10PJJ. Fighters like Dan Hardy, Shayna Baszler, and Chuck Liddell have also trained with Eddie Bravo. Jessamyne Duke is also a 10th Planet exponent.
Like everything else, the effectiveness of the system depends on the practitioners.
Is it like Submission Wrestling? Who uses it in the MMA? Is it effective?
