Thanks in advance for all the answers:)

Sorry i turned it off when i seen that fake dillman guy.

@Cecil - no one is claiming that pressure points dont work, but Dillman is a fraud whether you like it or not. he may have some great martial arts knowledge but his pressure point work has been proven to be fake time and time again.

Several comments on this. First I find it interesting that this guy who is a student of George Dillman is talking about Oyata. Oyata was the real deal and the person responsible for the terms Kyusho and Tuite becoming common. I studied several martial arts starting in 1967. Anything I could find about martial arts I read or studied. From my beginnings until the early 1980's no one was using the terms Kyusho or Tuite. Most high ranking martial artists had never even heard the terms. When Dillman first came to the U.S.A Dillman was a student. BUT Dillman quickly left and angered Oyata when he started teaching what he called Kyusho. It was not what Oyata taught him and often fails to work. Oyata never failed to knock out anyone that was stupid enough to tell him that they did not think that his Kyusho Jitsu worked. Now the technique shown in the video clip could be either a ridge hand strike or a three finger strike. I'd have to study the video closer to see which it is. Oyata did that type of strike. And for those that don't believe that it can work that easily trust me when I tell you that if properly done it will drop you like a sack of bricks. However, it is not something that you can just decide to do and strike expecting it to work. It takes exact technique done to exactly the right target on the body and done at exactly the right angle. With Kyusho one person may be able to use a strike effectively soon after being taught it correctly. Others may never be able to make it work no matter how much they practice it.

My general feeling about this clip is it seems odd that this clip has come up when Oyata is not around. Oyata passed away a year ago. For some reason I don't think this clip would have been posted while Oyata was still alive.

...

They are using a "ridge-hand" strike to the Brachea Plexus Trunk along the side of the neck. It is a large nerve cluster that goes vertically up the side of the neck and influences almost all motor control when struck. It can also be used as a pressure point control.

Whereas it is a highly effective strike point, it is a smaller target that requires precise focus and control to hit properly for the displayed result. A ridge-hand to the temple , or the ear, can have equally effective results, and can result in permanent injury and even death if the Templar bone is broken or the inner ear is ruptured

I am skeptical about it. I would have to see it to believe and even better have the technique done on me.

The science is there. The anatomical science proves that such a knockout is possible. That effortlessly? Perhaps. I have a friend who is very good at pinpointing pressure points, nerve clusters, etc and can hit them with ease and it hurts like hell.

But as for the video, I just don't know. I have yet to encounter such technique on my martial arts "journey". I would love to see it personally.

Personally I got put off as soon as dillman appeared in the clip, yes i agree contacting someone does have an effect to whatever degree that maybe?, but i don't hold much to dillman's guys, I even got attacked by one of his guys because i was from the other kempo school when they tried to establish themselves in our area, i know it's unprofessional of me to say this but i think the guy performing it is B/S if he could do it in a real situation that might convince me.

If you don't believe Dilliman is real, or any other pressure point guru can do what they do, go to a seminar and see, or rather feel it, for yourself. It worked on me well enough. I'm sure it is hard to pull off against a flailing, aggressive maniac, but guess what? It is also hard to shoot a moving target with a gun. Last time I checked, nobody wondered if guns were effective.

Oyata sensei was one of the few that actually knows kyushu jitsu,

dilman is a fake

Btw he is not showing you the whole technique, their is a setup for it

Look unreal doesn't it! Its like one of those Martial Art Anime I've been watching! :p

Like this one.. :p

I've never seen something like that work that effortlessly on someone who wasn't a compliant student of the demonstrator. I'm very skeptical of it.

It looks good why dont you practice and show me.
