What can I tell my instructor and my mom?

Let her know that you are proud of your battle scar and you'll be sure to let everyone know that's what it is.

As far as actually preventing that from happening again, stop being egotistical and tap. A class is not a match and if you can't figure that out then you won't get much stronger than you are now.

sounds like your part of the problem with todays generation

all hype and nothing inside your noggin to think for yourself

buy a rash guard

I just begun practicing for jiu jitsu and I thought I wouldn't have a any bruises from it like boxing. When I came home from practice, I had forgotten that I was out in a rear naked choke many times, and it was my fault that I didn't tap. I think that is why I have bruises in my neck. My mom got scared that when I go to school, the students will assume that she beats me up. What do I do or what can I do?
