What are things annoying sparring partners do?

Actually yes. I hate light sparring striking and the partner get ridiculously competitive on you. It's not safe for me and for them. Though thankfully these are the people that lacks skill and I have been able to throw counters rather easily, and I really got to work on that. But I avoid sparring with them after that.

As far as your situations are concerned... To be honest I don't have much pity. You should have known better than to spar with a novice. It puts their health in danger to throw them straight into a spar. That and you know they are not expecting to keep practicing so the only point of a spar for them is to win and brag.

All I'm going to say is that for one I know it can be really f**king annoying when someone shows off the fact that they beat you but you have an advantage because if you could take him down and if he doesn't know that then the next time you two spar he will underestimate you and just take him to the ground take a chance and believe me he will be gobsmacked that you took him down

I guess that will teach you not to be nice in fighting even if it is with a friend. If you could have, you should have, rather than whining about it afterwards. There are times when being friends is appropriate but when you are fighting it is not appropriate. Afterwards you can be friends again.

This should also be a lesson to you that if you are really friends and the friendship means something to you then it is best not to engage in sparring as it will always leave one person resentful which will affect the friendship and not in a positive way.

I don't understand what you mean by he goes 90% when you go 30%. You both sound a little bit immature to be honest.

But to answer your question the most annoying thing is when they back up constantly. You take one step forward, they take one step back. If they are taller than you then it's going to be very difficult fight. But it doesn't really matter if I find it annoying. If he defeats me he did it fair and square. He found a tactic that works against me. It's like chess. I can complain all I want. I still lost.

just call him out in front of a lot of people you know. Then beat his ***.

Cleaning the toilet after practice.

My cousin is the worst person to spar with. I tried sparring him in boxing because he thought it be fun. All he did was go 90% when I went 30% and I only really used the jab and two crosses because he had no training and I wanted to maintain discipline. Then he would throw one punch and then clinch repeatedly even when I was blocking punches when I could of easily taken him down if I was trying to use all my skills. Now he's all smug walking around telling people he beat me in boxing. It's super annoying.
