What are the techniques for hand conditioning in karate?

That depends on what you're conditioning for: stronger grip, protection against blunt force, healing from an injury, etc.

About the instant-est results you'll ever get is several years, and that must be maintained: it's not like once you get a black belt, you're a black belt for life. You have to maintain it, or you lose it.

Punching bags are your best bet for conditioning at your level, knuckle pushups aren't bad either. But don't do anything unless your instructor tells you to do something. If you condition improperly without an instructor's guidance, you can permanently hurt yourself.

You should not worry about damaging your hands. For me, I have never hurt them permanently and I do things from knuckle push ups to punching pads. As long as you make a fist correctly, like putting your thumb outside the fist, and making the surface flat, it shouldn't be a problem.

P.S, you're main goal shouldn't be to make your hands strong....

That is not information that is shared here.

Your teacher will guide you through this when you are ready.
