What are some weaknesses for Systema in fighting?

Russian systema and what are the strengths?

Any style doesn't exist on it's own. Every person has strengths and weaknesses. The trick is making your weakness a strength.

Systema covers all aspects of fighting and behaviour as it is principle based rather than style or technique. As such any situation can be trained for. In that sense there are no "weaknesses" whereas, for example a martial art style might not cover groundwork. Systema is more like an operating system than a style

The answer to both would be the teacher. A teacher either makes it or breaks it. A good teacher will be the styles strength and a bad one it's weakness. This is true for all styles so find the best teacher you can.

The strengths of Systema are many . It's a brutal, battlefield-tested, street lethal fighting system especially when it is taught at Spetsnaz training camps in Russia. I would say a weakness of Systema is any practitioner who is overconfident in his ability to defend himself because he knows Systema.

It might be different for Australia than it is for other countries but the biggest problem with Systema over here is finding a school that actually teaches it.

Try to do a search on Google, maybe that will work out
