What are some good MMA gyms in Los Angeles ?

Gene and Gokor's place is great. It is in the North Hollywood area. You've got guys like Gokor and Benny the Jet teaching there. You will get a good dose of judo there as well, which it doesn't look like you have focused on at all yet. These guys are in it for the love. If you prefer something leaning towards any of the other disciplines you've studied, you can find all types of great instructors in the greater LA area teaching those arts. Due to the rich diversity of talent here in LA you tend to have gyms that are more "real" in their dealings because the real deal does actually exist in town to compare them against. That doesn't mean we don't have our fair share of lame brain instructors opening McDojos and claiming to be shadow warriors with hidden knowledge from some ancient sect of reclusive wizard-like monks, but you tend to find less of them because the real deal exists down the street to point and laugh at them.

Dude... Some Of The 1st Generation Gracie and Machado brothers teach there. I'd love to train in LA

Fabricio Werdum school

gene lebells gym

glendale fight club rouseys gym

blackhouse silvas gym

10th planet bjj

for boxing freddie roaches

bas ruttens gym

i love to be in your situation i think la has the best training in the world

I recently moved to LA, I used to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay thai & Boxing back home. I am looking for a gym to start training with out here. However, all I found so far was BIG gyms with TONS of students and TOTAL rip off for classes. I'm looking for something more local and low budget where the volume is low & the fighters and instructors are there for the love of the game & not to get rich off memberships. Where I used to train, it was a family environment, I am looking for the same out here. Does anybody know of anything ??? Anywhere in LA, Santa Monica, SF Valley, Pasadena is fine.
