Hell yeah you should do StrongLifts 5x5. Its a strength training heavy-lifting program that builds monster strength and rock-hard muscle while burning stubborn fat.

Workout A

Squat (5x5)

Bench Press (5x5)

Barbell Row (5x5)

Push-Ups (3 x Failure)

Workout B

Squat (5x5)

Overhead Press (5x5)

Deadlift (1x5)

Chin-Ups (3 x Failure)

It's cool you want to do weights, im not really sure where it fits with regards to martial arts though?

are you trying to bulk or after strength etc, rest is also a good option to look into too.

What do you think you will get out of weights that would benefit your martial art's?

If your training for a tournament, train the art more.

Weights training at 16 is fine. Its about the perfect age to begin.

Why do I need to know that your dojo is 160 square meters big? There is so much going on in your questions that I don't even know what you're asking. Ask again.

I worked out hard then I ended up in a helicopter cause of the so called friends.

I've recently turned 16. I am 10 stone 11 (151 pounds) and around 5 foot 8.5. I've been doing martial arts training for over 2 years now, and my club has recently over the last 7 months opened up a cross-fit style gym with instructor led workouts which is open for 18 and above. I'm doing work experience at my club and I'm allowed to do it this wednesday and friday morning at around 6 am. Also i'm allowed to take it as well since im being an apprentice instructor for a week. my dojo is huge (1770 square feet, 160 square metres) and the reception is the same size. I had to clean everything today! But i'm getting off topic, anyway i'm a blue belt at the moment (5th kyu) in freestyle karate and 6th gup in tang soo do my club does two styles. Should I be doing adult weight training at my age? To give my fitness a huge boost ready for the next upcoming tournament. I'm going to speak to my sensei about it, i'm wondering what you guys think. I'm really passionate towards my training and think this would be a good way forward.
