Weight question?

You're worried about ONE kilo? Dude, come on, that is nothing. You can lose that over night.

It depends on the tournament but here in the US on the day of the weigh in you can not be over any what your weight division is, so you need to know what the parameters are for your weight division. If you are over they have another higher weight division and you will just have to go in that one.

A lot of people build more muscles when training and since muscles are heavier than fat you pack on the pounds. Some people go to extremes to loose the weight which is really stupid (not to mention unhealthy) because they train and lift weight like mad to get stronger and then they try to lose it again. With weight loss you will also lose muscle tone and with this strength and stamina which means you are not going to be your best when fighting. So either fight in the next/higher weight division or train where you can maintain the lower weight and be your best at the lower weight. But to train to be your best at a higher weight and then lose it through dehydration and other crazy methods which stress the body necessarily just before a fight so you can fight at a lower weight when you are not at your best is simply poor planning. You should train at the weight you will fight. Not train at one thing (the higher weight) and then fight at another.

i am an mma fighter, im 16 and I'm going to an event in two weeks in which i have out down my weight as 64.5 kilos. I'm fighting 2 times one boxing one muay thai but lately when i weigh myself again it comes up 65.5. i am told that if you are a certain amount overweight you will lose points and therefore lose the fight. is anyone able to tell me how much you are able to be over by if any?? and if your not aloud to be over how can i lose 1 kilo? I'm not fat at all so thats not why I'm over. i took off all my cloths and still 65.5. please help I'm worried i won't be aloud to fight!!!! :(
