Throws? Aye or ixnay?

Throws on done on a concrete sidewalk an opponent who is not trained to fall properly is probably dangerous to the opponent's health and well being.

Before mats were permitted in the traditional Kajukenbo schools, we had to learn to do breakfalls on a bare floor and we threw each other onto a bare floor. I think when you are younger, you don't feel a thing when you land on a bare floor. There is always the thought growing through your head of I hope nothing bad happens to me during the throw. As I got older, I am glad that mats are allowed in Kajukenbo schools now.

So my answer is that if you are not used to being throw onto bare floors, being thrown onto a concrete sidewalk or a pavement is probably very shocking for the person being thrown.

It can be very dangerous of course. Being thrown around on sand hurts, concrete shall hurt even worse. Injuries can include:

Broken Ribs

Arms,

Wrists

Neck

Concussion

Cuts

Or worse.

And when done right, it's supposed to hurt the opponent.

Yes concrete is a throw's best friend! It can cause serious injury or even death so now you know...if u punch someone in the face and they fall and hit their head on the curb or w/e that will kill them so imagine what a throw causing impact to the head will do...

If you watch Judo, even on mats some trained Martial artist will break arms clavicles and smiliars. Concrete can turn this into a worst thing expecially if he person hits their head which can kill them. Read up on traumatic head injuries or Subdural hematomas. Subarachniod hematomas, and the like

Depends how confident you are of being able to take care of business.

I remember one of Keyboard Warrior's stooges saying this or something like this once "If an athlete is following the rules in a fight he's playing with you".

Concrete is a lethal weapon. It's like getting hit with a planet, rather than with a meaty fist.

It is very dangerous. People have died from accidental falls. A throw is even worse.

How dangerous would it be to throw someone on conrete if they don't know how to fall? It seems injury is certian, does it not? A head hitting a surface like concrete will cause very serious damage 9/10 especially if assisted. I am not asking when to use these, just in your intelligent opinion or facts that you have procured how dangerous are they?
