its tae kwon do not "doe".
you should take a break, I just pulled a leg muscle after doing lots of Axe Kicks yesterday, after you had your break then go back and get used to it, I highly recommend practicing at home.
Keep moving slowly. Gentle stretching, hot shower, massage to relieve the pain. I found that gentle exercise helps get rid of the soreness faster than just sitting on the sofa and waiting for the pain to go away.
Getting sore once in a while, comes with the territory. Makes you stronger.
"Doe, a deer, a female deer..."
"Doe" is, as the song notes, a female deer. In martial arts, the term "do" means "way".
It's certainly not unusual for beginners to overextend and get quite sore... A lot of TKD teachers do a lot of conditioning exercises.
Your best bet...Rest and NSAIDS (Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) Like ibuprofen.
Next time, don't let the class dictate the energy you expend.
Taekwondo is for true masters and is a good foundation for children then when they grow older then they can be Kajukenbo or Kickboxing or Muaythai.
