Political connections. I am serious it really is all about who you know/train with and the Olympics are no exception. That's why I keep telling you guys you need to train with teachers who not only know their stuff but also have the connections. It will not get you anywhere if you train in some hole in the wall and go to small local tournaments. Even if a tournament is called a national or even international tournament it does not mean they also have national or international competitors. You can call your tournament anything you want and it will not make it so and tournament directors take full advantage of that. There is no regulations regarding at what point your tournament is truly a national or international tournament. Some tournaments are much more prestigious than others and you really need to know the difference of who and what can get you to the top.

The majority of olympian taekwondo medalist earn money by there countries after the Olympics games, but do they also get sponsorship ?



Every four years there is 8 taekwondo gold medallist , what makes them choose someone to get the sponsorship and the others not ?
