Should I quit karate?

Karate is a discipline that takes a lot of perserverence. You have to really want that Black Belt or it will become boring. Karate is not unlike body building,it's just a different discipline that is very hard to follow, aside from the physical work. If you can get that Black Belt you will feel some real satisfaction. On the other side, doing something that makes you happy feels good too.

a first degree black belt means that you understand the basics and you are now ready to being your training. and nothing more then that.

its more likely the dojo and instructor you are going to. karate can be very in-depth and fun when taught correctly, it contains grappling and striking. more then likely you only learned the striking aspect and little more then that. i suggest you find a better school.

Do what you love. I would finish, but if you don't want to then jus stop.

"Martial Arts" is good for exercise.

Quit if you WANT to.

no of course not keep it up

So I'm 14 and just started High School. I came back from a one year break in February of 2014. I was sooo enthusiastic to go back but now that I been back for 6-7 months, I find that it's not fun (like it was during my first year) and it's pretty much just physical punishment. I've been doing it for 8 years and I go for my black belt in about a year in a half. I don't know if I should just torture my self for the rest and quit after I get my black belt, or save the time and money so I can devote my time to schoolwork, clubs, and basketball which is my true favorite sport. Please answer and thank you for reading!
