You are "officially" in MMA (whatever that means) but rather than ask experined coaches you thought you;d coem on Yahoo answer to ask what weight you should fight at?
I call B******t!
Honestly dude, if you're doing MMA you should be below 180 lbs as a walking around weight. No offense here but you are quite overweight. Even if all of that is muscle you have zero chance of completing 3 rounds of 5 min a piece. Your muscles are sucking up all the air and the energy.
Yes, but you should set smaller goals along the way, like try to get to 215 first, then 205, or even 5 pounds at a time. If you're wearing normal clothes when you weigh yourself, don't forget to take off 2 pounds for the clothes.
I have just recently officially got in to mma and i walk around at 235lbs and I was wondering if I should move down to 205 or should I move lower? Im 17 (waiting till im 18 to be able to compete in my state) and as of now im only 5'9.
