Yes, you should go back. Don't worry about self esteem, it will return. Get your black belt in TKD and then study Jujitsu. You could also try Judo if there is not a Jujitsu club near you. Judo and Jujitsu are very similar.
Don't concern about anyone else it's good self defense.
I used to do tae kwon do, but stupidly I let my skills fall by the wayside. I was taking classes in NC but then I moved to Spain to teach English and just got distracted. I'd have to start all over from zero again which is so sad bc I was a freaking brown belt. I'm back in NC and I liked the dojo where I went.
I'm thinking of signing up again but the only thing stopping me is that I have low self esteem. When I was in TKD my self confidence skyrocketed and I was a much better person emotionally. But some stuff happened in my personal life to bring me down.
I miss TKD, and I'm seriously considering going back but my low self esteem deters me. Should I? What would you do in my shoes?
I would like to learn jiu jitsu, I have read about it and I have always wanted to try it but I worry that no one will want to teach me because I'm a girl. I actually did go to a trial class and really enjoyed it, but i was the only girl and felt awkward. It seems like I'm always the only girl hahaha.
