Shivering after martial arts?

Give yourself time to cool down, it is a combination of endorphins hitting your body and your heart rate being high, and lactic acid flushing through your muscles.

Essentially you got a really good work out, chances are your right is shaking more because you have used it more, you are pushing yourself which is a good thing. One thing you can do is give yourself a little more time after practice to cool down slowly, as opposed to just stopping and getting off the mat. Spend sometime doing cool down exercises, things that allow you to slowly get your heart rate down. Stretches and breath control also help.

After time this will minimize as you grow more accustomed to training, you will at least understand it. I still get it and I have been training for over 20 years, I just give myself an extra 20 minutes or so after class to slowly come down from sparring, randori and heavy exercise, that way it becomes a little easier to drive.

A good diet is also key, a magnesium, iron, water, and potassium will help. Basically whole grains, legumes, green leafy veggies, bananas and good animal protein are good sources to help with this.

Taking the time after practice to really get a good bit of water in you will help, a banana or two before practice, ensure you are totally hydrated before practice as well. (Your pee should be clear, not yellow).

Hydration, good diet, and ensuring you warm up before getting into heavy exercise, and cool down afterwards will help alleviate some of this to a degree.

It's just an adrenaline rush, probably in a muscle group you don't use too often.

Nothing to worry about

cool down and put it under hot water.

You need to drink pure fat milk.

Ok, so it is not cold, and I am sweating after karate. But my right hand (which is my strongest hand) is shivering. It is uncontrollable, but not insanely fast shivering. I also get this during and after taekwondo often in my arms as well as my hand, mainly my right, taekwondo is 2 hours and karate is 1 hour. Does anybody know why i would be shivering and how to minimise it, as it is annoying, especially trying to hold a kicking pad during taekwondo or moving my computer mouse after a session of karate.
