Question about Kickboxing?

My brother started when he was 14,lots of people do and it really doesn't matter because your body still growing, and therefore mouldable to the moves. It takes time and dedication but you will get there.

For the first few weeks you'll probably have to practice with the little ones until you've learned the basics,if this happens don't worry,a few weeks and you'll be sparring with the 14+ year olds.

14 is not to old to do splits and high kicks. You'll be fine.

Good luck.

How the hell is 14 "old"?

You don't need to do splits or kick high to be successful in kickboxing.

However, I think your odds of developing high kicks are pretty good. If you stretch intelligently, and develop your core and leg muscles well, you should be able to develop your kicks after some time. I've known guys who started martial arts in their 30's who can throw head kicks. And the fact that you're VERY YOUNG should also play in your favor. There are some limiting factors, including genetics, physical condition, how well and often your practice, and so on, but I really think you should be capable of developing high kicks.

Fourteen is good.

Hi im 14(boy and i want to join kickboxing but the thing is that I am worried that i will never be able to do the splits and kick high cuz Im so old. Advice? btw will I Ever be able to do it?
