Nervous about first Muay Thai class?

Everyone was new once even the teacher. So just go to class. Be respectful, and listen to the directions given to you. Don't feel bad WHEN you make mistakes and look bad compared to everyone else. It'll take some time to "get it" but it's normal.

So have fun and enjoy the class

I know this is random but a year ago you asked a question about shoujo manga

I just wanted to recommend high school debut to you bc its LITERALLY everything you wanted in the ask and a really great read.

sorry for invading your question and if you already read it

Not knowing what to do isn't a big deal - that's why you're attending isn't it? To learn because you don't know everything! If they expect you to know everything, I honestly don't know what kind of teachers they are. ;) I say just give it your best, and if you need help don't be scared to ask. Also, I think it would be good for you to do partner work. Take it as a chance to become less shy - you can't get better and improve and beat your boundaries if you're not willing to be uncomfortable once in a while.

I think you'll be fine and you'll really enjoy it. It's awesome that you're doing it to begin with, I'm jealous!

Good luck, and for nerves - try breathing in 10 seconds - holding 10 seconds - exhaling 10 seconds. :)

No one knows anything before someone teaches them. You think you are the only one who will be new? There will be a ton of newbies thinking they are the $hit, when in fact they are just $hit.

I am nervous too.

I'm not worried about getting hit, or even messing up, I'm just nervous about showing up and not knowing what to do. I never taken martial arts before, but I had an introductory course that showed me the basics and such. We need to do partner work I think, and I'm a little shy around new people. I go in less than an hour and a half and I'm freaking out a little. I really am interested in muay thai and I would love to learn.
