Muay Thai and BJJ vs. Krav Maga or Systema?

Posted at: 2014-09-13
Okay I want to learn some type of self defense. I would like to learn Muay Thai and then bjj. But I heard that they're not as effective as krava Maga or systema. Is this true?

Systema = bullshit

Krav Maga = not really self defense. Try moves you learn there in the street and have fun in jail and/or paying the guy's hospitals.

MT and BJJ are legit.

For self defence Systema. MT and BJJ are both sports, They have a good delivery system for what they do, but zero work on awareness, fear control, legalities, weapons, working against more than one person or basically anything other that fighting one on one in a ring

Systema at a good school is far from BS or "one touch KO". There are vido clips of Spets training in it. It is used by bodyguards and other professionals.

But at the end of the day, try a few things out and see what works for you - just remember what "self defence" is

Systema over all of them on my idea its close to Kajukenbo of all four.

Let me guess you heard if from someone doing systema and krav maga?

I don't know much about systema but I do know that a lot of it is BS. Some of them practice the one touch KO and so on. You need to find yourself quality instructors. That's it. Try out the different schools in your area.
