Mma record question?

The UFC adds matches from The Ultimate Fighter. Matches from TUF are, according the Nevada State Athletic Commission, "exhibition" matches and don't go on a fighter's official record. I suppose the UFC wants to maintain some sense of continuity to those who have viewed TUF.

While Wikipedia itself tends to be an unreliable source, most of the records I've seen on there have been taken from Sherdog, which IS a pretty reliable source.

Fight Matrix is another pretty reliable source:

Some records in Wiki probably lump both amateur and pro records together. However when you see a fighters record on television then they are generally only listing his pro record. They also will sometimes break a fighters record down also as to what organization they fought under and what the fighter's record was under each organization. I saw that the other night with one fighter who had fought in TUF who was now in the UFC and had several fights in the UFC as well.

It doesn't matter to much.

Why do some ufc fighters like rashad evans have a different record then the one in wikipedia. Like in ufc rashad record is 24-3-1 but in wikipedia it's 21-3-1. Another example is diego sanchez who's record is 26-7 and in wiki it's 24-7. Renan barao is 34-2 and in wiki it's 32-2. Diego Brandao is 22-9 and in wiki it's 18-9. Matt brown is 21-11 and in wiki it's 19-11. Why does ufc add more wins? Or does wiki doesn't have the information?
