MMA fans, wasn't boxing supposed to be dying?

well the only reason this is said is you haven't had greats like back in the day.. the last great heavy weight was Lennox Lewis... their are less great fighters in boxing now... I mean when Floyd Mayweather makes 40 million for 5 fights how is that a slump boxing still gets more money then MMA..

MMA has hit its peak what else can a MMA fighter do there is only so much to learn... yes Boxing has been out since the late 1800's... MMA leagues a lot less time.. even a lower boxer makes 10 times more money then a UFC mid fighter.... Why MMA has hit its peak is their are less people that studied traditional martial arts like the early days...most of the young guys only train in MMA gyms... But also this is why most of the old top fighter in MMA are black belts in traditional martial arts and still are the top fighters... even UFC tried to buy every other league to make more money and become the only MMA league.. But UFC didn't go by leagues in other counties only the U.S... where as boxing still has lots of leagues world wide... also the boxing commission has not allowed MMA leagues into it yet.. the UFC still falls under the boxing commission ...

I think both have hit its peak, no humans a super humans... only a fighter can be great in any league be it Boxing or MMA... fans don't cause these out comes only the fighter them selves... also a lot of people think both are animalistic and brutal this is the decline of both...

No.

But boxing has hit a slump. It'll recover, then slump again... that's the nature of the business. But it's done better years in the past.

MMA hasn't reached its heights yet, but it's still growing. MMA's biggest stars have sold out arenas in Japan, Brazil, and the US. Not as big as boxing, but probably more consistently over the last few years. MMA is broadcast on CBS, Fox Sports, and until recently, Showtime. Not bad for "human cockfighting".

I'm not into MMA in any way. But I find this slanderous to many good people that do MMA. to say that they as a group are saying that boxing is dying is both irresponsible, and untrue. Only one or two kids or fanboys have said that.

...

Froch v Groves sells out wembley in minutes and will be televised around the world including HBO. Only a domestic british fight....

I heard that 'boxing was dying' years ago...?

Where's the biggest MMA stars at?
