Any martial art will help improve your confidence and self defence.. No single martial art is better than the other. I was learning from a Krav Maga instructor who claimed that it was superior to all styles and he was yet to be bettered in 15 years. despite giving away about 60lbs i had him on the ground and submitted in less than 1 minute. Clearly all styles have thier strengths and weaknesses but the moment that you judge one style as better than another is the moment you walk a slippery slope.

I think you should do boxing or mauy thai because this is best sport for self defence in real life situation.

I was assaulted and my therapist believes one way to get over it is to learn self defense. I heard krav manga is the best self defense. Is that true or should i take martial arts or something else? Also the classes offered for krav manga vary, some one month some a week how long do you have to taake it to learn all the skills? There is no set guideline.
