In the spirit of Jiu Jitsu she should be focused on getting the win. Meta competitors focus on points and winning that way.
who cares? she is 6 years old. let her have fun and enjoy herself. There is plenty of time for her to be serious with it. Let her continue to train and enjoy herself and let her play to what she wants to do.
Let me just get this clear right now, she can be the champion for years to come and still end up losing to all her competitors when she gets older. Other kids catch up and other kids gain focus with years of training. Just let her be and let her enjoy the occasion.
You always learn more from a loss than you do from a win anyway.
Why shall it matter? Let her have the experience and have fun.
That's good to know.
Pray for her,
God bless all

Jesus Christ name

My 6 year old daughter is going to her first BJJ tournament, she is a 1 stripe white belt (only had 1 belt test in 7 months) but she is very aggressive and has a few moves she does very well. What type of takedowns and submissions should she focus on training? Kids matches are only 3 minutes long so most end in point decisions. She has a good triangle and armbar however with a 3 minute matches should I have her focus on getting points instead of submissions?
