Judo competition?

Don't be afraid. Our own fear is the greatest enemy most of the time. If we think we're gonna lose,we will, simple. Have faith in yourself! And don't worry about what happened last time because no one seriously expects a yellow belt to win on their first ever fight. You'll be against someone your own size, weight and gender this time so it should in theory,be easier.

As for the humiliation,it's good for you, better you know how it feels now then later. That lad was out of order but one day he'll be beaten. Especially when he's fighting lads who are above yellow belt. All the best sensei start where you are now so never give up.

I have faith in you. Train hard, fight harder, live better.

Good.

Believe in yourself and don't be afraid, even if you lose

So I do Judo for a hobby, every Tuesday and Friday, and I am a yellow belt. Today I have a Judo competition and it is my 6th one, but I am super scared! Last time I fought in a competition, I was fighting boys as I was skilled enough and there wasn't enough girls to fight. I was utterly ashamed with myself as one of the boys I fought goes to my school! And he told everyone at school that he beat "the wimp who was afraid to fight me" and I still haven't been able to remove that image! But this time there are enough girls but I am scared the same thing will happen! Any advice?
