Is victory taekwondo a good place to learn taekwondo?

So far i have learned karate im a second degree black belt i learned enough about fists now i want to master the art of kicking. I found this place near me is it any good? Im 16 btw

a second degree in karate at the age of 16? that sounds like a mcdojo.

at a decent school the minimum age for first degree is 16 years old. second degree would be 18 years old. its more then just memorizing patterns and techniques.

at second degree you have mastered nothing. master ranks are above 5th degree. a second degree is still a beginner rank

the mere fact you think its all about fists means you learned very little. all karate styles contain grappling. all your kata contain grappling as well. if you cant use the grappling techniques of your kata in sparing then you have no understanding of the kata.

i suggest you look for a school that actually teaches what karate really is. and not just fists

Hello,

Having earned a 2nd Dan in Karate is an awesome achievement by the age of 16. It is impressive at any age.

I am from Los Angeles and not familiar with Victory Taekwondo. I am a 6th Dan in Taekwondo and know that it is one of the arts known for its acrobatic kicks and discipline. Taekwondo will take your kicking up a notch and show you some kicks not taught in Karate.

Finding the right school and teacher are more important than the art I have found.

Hapkido, another Korean art, will show you some additional kicks not taught in Taekwondo. In addition, you will also learn joint locks, sweeps and leverage.

Good luck.

Mitch
