it looks decent but can i cut trough meat or wood?

It looks good on the surface, but many of the important aspects aren't revealed in pictures and specs.

1060 high carbon steel is good, it's the middle ground for edge retention and blade strength. The downside is not knowing the quality of that steel and the quality of manufacturing. For example the worst 1060 blade made from quality steel and reputable forger will still be better than the best one from crappy steel and bad quality control.

The low price tag should give you an idea of the materials and quality of steel. I mean $89 for something that usually costs $300+ from a reputable forge? Something is up there....

Mass production is also something to watch out for. No matter how good their reputation, there is always defects in the production line. So you have to make sure the seller offers quality control on their product, if they don't offer to replace an item that's defected, you want nothing to do with them.

(A lot of 3rd party sellers have thousands of particular swords sitting in storage for long periods and often come with a number of defects because of it)

I would hazard a guess that it would work for soft targets such as the occasional Tameshigiri session, but I would avoid it personally or not use it for heavy cutting practice.

Personally I would tell you to save a little extra and either purchase an entry level blade from Hanwei such as the Practical series. Will set you back $300+ but the quality is top range and they offer replacements if you get a dud.

A cheaper alternative that is great for people looking for heavy cutting exercises is the SGC series from Cheness.

Good spring steel at a good price, can take a lot of punishment and also offer quality control. Designed for practicality over looks.

Research saves you money in the long run and safety should never be ignored for cost effectiveness when talking about weapons. You really get what you pay for

Like I said wiggles is the best sword out there its less felonies if you use.
