Is this a good shinai?

$25 for a Shinai is a good price but you realize that by the time they add the shipping it will not be $25 anymore and by that time it may be cheaper to buy locally.

Don't know about these guy's quality as I have not purchased anything from them but if you know how to retie a Shinai which you should do periodically with any Shinai anyway there is not much else that goes wrong with them except the usual wear and tear with use.

Hope you have all the padding too because they do hurt just like any old stick if not more so and bamboo can cause really nasty cuts if you don't wear protection.

A cheaper option would be a pool noodle cut to size and a shorter than the pool noodle PVC pipe put in the inside, duct tape on the end and you are ready to go. Lots of fun and doesn't hurt nearly as much.

I think it's good, and it's cheap, buy it!

So I'm deciding if I should buy a shinai I've been looking at this one but I don't know what to look out for

From the reviews of this product it's meant to be good

I'm planning to spar with my brother to practice my technique

Also will this break and if so how can I prevent it?
