Is jujitsu effective?

Speaking about traditional jujitsu for you is this martial art really effective??

It is only as effective as the person using it and the person teaching it. Those are the 2 factors that matter.

If you take 2 students in one school that start at the same time. If that happen to compete against each other there will likely be a winner. Why? They studied the same amount of time and received the same instruction. It is because it is not the style or art. It is how well the person uses what they have been taught.

Edit:

By the way there are differences between jujitsu and jujutsu as well as jiujitsu

If you are lucky enough to find a center that focuses on the "old world" combat system of Jujitsu (Jujutsu) then the answer is definitively yes. I was first trained in Western boxing, then Jujutsu and Karate(not sure but tech. similar to Shotokan), I am currently training at a Krav center (suits my personal fight preference), but under stress I reflexively fall back to my Jujutsu training. Properly taught and applied it is as versatile as Krav but it demands more to learn properly.

Any martial art is effective...

Do you really think that it would be around still if it did not work. Like any style of fighting, people will sometimes win and sometimes lose. To look at a few examples and then decide is to ignore all the other times when it works fine. People do martial arts. Martial arts do not make people act. Saying jujitsu or any other art is not effective is like saying a certain brand of tool is not effective. Again people use marital arts, martial arts do not make people good. Just like tools. Martial arts are tools. Those saying that jujitsu, karate or any other type of martial arts does not work don't bother to acknowledge that some of the things they do came from traditional martial arts.

What is important is not the style but how you train in it. Bad training is bad training. No style ever made people train in a bad or good way. People are responsible for how people train. Style bashing is the worst kind of ignorance. It comes from people that refuse to see that styles can do nothing, but people can.

...

A style is only good as the person,

styles dont fight people do. styles dont set training methodology, if you lift weights in the martial arts school is that from the style. no that is from that particular gym. styles are a set of techniques and how to perform them, tactics, foot work, the way you breathing.

the instructor teaches you how to do the style and how you train, it eventually depends upon him. he sets how much contact the order of the techniques you learn them in and how practical they will be. but certain people dont get that and are in denial.

edit:>

thanks for all the thumbs down kw, i see you made some more accounts, how sad that you feel you need so many what an shallow ego you must have

Sometimes

Styles don't tell you how to train, The troll with over 10 accounts wants you to think this. Teachers and instructors decided how you train, they tell you what to do and how to do it. Styles don't have a voice to tell you what to do.

Styles give you the techniques, and the ability to use the techniques.

The only delusional one is the person who thinks they need over 10 accounts to get there point across.

How come you need 10 accounts kw? Why should we not consider you a pathetic loser troll with an ego problem.

And Why did you block me are you afraid of the truth?

Yes it is.
