No it's not weird at all. In Thailand there are children starting at the ripe young age of 5. Even doing competition fighting at such a young age.
From another perspective, Medieval Knights started training at age 7.
So it's not even close to being weird. I started Martial Arts when I was 10. As for "everyone starting 20+"...
True and not true. I can see that in MT bc it isn't exactly geared for the typical american child who can't handle being hit and training hard. BUT 75% about of "martial artists" are children, perhaps less, but it's a-lot.

Hi, I'm 14 and want to start Muay Thai, but everywhere I look it seems that everyone who starts it is 20+. Is it weird that i'm starting at 14?
