Is it normal to grow muscle this quickly?

Muscle hypertrophy. It doesn't necessarily mean that your muscles are growing fast. The muscle fibres become enlarged so that your body can deal with the physical stress you're exerting, which is why when you flex it feels more tense.

You do not grow muscles quickly. The most you can realistically hope for is 5 lbs per year of lean muscle mass and this assumes you do everything correctly: e.g. proper nutritions, proper forms, and proper amounts of rest.

That tightness in your muscle is because when you push a muscle to the point of fatigue, it degrades its ability to relax. If you push it further, it will cramp up.

There are many forms of exercises you can do without equipment - they are call "bodyweight exercises". Although they do not isolate specific muscles as well as exercise equipments, they do get the job done.

yeah

So, I started doing workouts last Sunday, but I've been doing exclusively Pressups, Lifts of very light weights which probably wouldn't have done much at all and running.

My question is, is it normal to grow muscle mass this quickly?

I've been doing quite a lot of pressups per day, but hardly devoting my life to it. Now, when I flex my arm, it being flexed without tensing at all is probably about the same as it was when fully tensed before. Remember, I've only been doing this from last sunday.

Are there any other excercises you would reccomend, preferably without equiptment but I'm going to buy weights and a pull=up bar soon.

By the way, this is in Martial Arts as I'm training a little bit before I start to go to Martial Arts so I can feel more confident in myself. I know I should probably start going now, but I've got my first GSCEs in like 4 weeks, then I have my next ones in like a year. Therefore, I think it would be best to wait until after them.
