Is Kyokushin worth practicing?

Basically what the title says.I want to pick up another MA.(I did Wing Chun for a while).I was thinking about Kyokushin. Will it be good for ...let's say the street?

I have a generally high opinion of Kyokushin. While its sparring format is curiously lacking (no punches to the face, though you can kick practically anywhere), the full-contact nature of the sparring can build some very usable skills. At the very least, it'll get you used to getting hit and hitting back, and give you a pretty serviceable arsenal.

Like any style of martial art, it's worth is the combination of teacher/student.

With good instruction kyokushin is as good as any other with good instruction.

The quality of a martial art is only as good as the teacher.

If you plan on doing MMA in the future , I would highly recommend taking boxing in addition to Kyokushin if you decide to train in Kyokushin.

Kyokushin will teach you discipline , toughness, and hella good kicks.

The main drawback is their lack of face punches which gives their fighters the tendency to square up , and go to town with body shots which leaves them very open to being punched in the face with jabs, uppercuts, hooks and any other punch.

If you combine Kyokushin and boxing though , you will have a great base for MMA.

Good Luck.
