Is Chris Weidman the true P4P #1 fighter?

It's a sad indictment of the UFC that guys with just over 10 fights (Weidman, Rousey, Velasquez are the top fighters in the "sport".

Anderson Silva was way overrated. He was touted as the best when Fedor Emelianenko was clearly the no.1 fighter. Therefore Weidman too is overrated. Did he actually beat Machida last night?

Weidman is quite good as we saw last night, but he is most certainly not the #1 P4P fighter. He's got less fights than some guys have had title defenses. He did beat Silva twice, who is arguably the best P4P fighter of all time, which is a remarkable accomplishment. Guys like Jon Jones, Jose Aldo and Cain Velasquez should all be ranked above him in the P4P race though http://www.sherdog.com/news/rankings/She...

weidmen proved hes the best in middleweight right now.. any haters can shuddup now... do i thinkj hes number one p4p right now tho? no. he does look beatable.. im mean Machida rocked him and won a few rounds on him...cain aint losing ANY rounds and koing people... jones aint looked beatable lately ( besides Gustafson ), pettis looks great ending fights ect.. chris is good no doubt but i don't give him the number one sport as of yet, that goes to either jones or cain..

Weidman proved a lot tonight, but pound for pound is difficult to say. As for destroying Silva 2 times in a row, that is a little bit ridiculous. The first fight Silva was being stupid and the second fight he broke his leg. Also, if you think Jones got owned by Gustafson, you lose all credibility because although it was close and a great fight, Jones deserved the victory.

As far as I am concerned, Chris is up there, but Jon has proven himself more for now. Yes he had a close fight with Gus, but he broke the record for most title defenses. Having adversity shouldn't mean much if you win. Sometimes it means even more in my opinion. It was a close fight, but Gus didn't dominate him.

Right now, pound per pound best fighter might be Rowdy Ronda Rousey who seems to be in a league by herself... No male competitor can say that.

Chris Weidman should be in the top 5 for sure.

I think it's either him or Aldo. Barao got destroyed, Jones got owned from Gus (and we all saw it), Cain lost one out of three from JDS, Hendricks is alright, Pettis hasn't fought for ever and the best guy in his division is Khabib Nurmagomedov easily, while Weidman destroyed x2 the guy who used to be unbeatable (Anderson Silva) and toyed with a master like Machida last night.
