I need info about wing chun!!?

Hello everyone,

I need to know which Kung-Fu style is closer to Wing Chun.

Thanks =)

To answer your question directly, it is believed to be a combination of Snake style and Crane Style.

It is also known as the sister art to Hung Gar kung fu. This is only in terms of forms and how it looks.

For the focus and intent of the style, that varies vastly. It is like Krav Maga in that you want to eliminate the threat ASAP w/out wasting energy. It is like Tai Chi in that it focuses on breaking the opponent's body posture/structure to easily manipulate them (the body will follow where the head goes). It is like Xing Yi in that the main belief is the fastest route between two points is a straight line.

Wing Chun overall is heavily conceptual, meaning if you take the principles and concepts of Wing Chun and apply it to another style, you will improve your skills (i.e. instead of the old 1-2 or "block, then punch", why not block and punch as the same time?)

Wing Chun is a synthesis of Snake and Crane Boxing.

It contains elements of both.
