How to survive a fight on the ground?

If I was fighting someone and they tackle or slam me to the ground how could I defend myself from being kicked or punched repeatedly while I try to stand back up.

One way to survive a take down is to avoid it. I have sparred against people with MMA training, who repeatedly attempted to get me off my feet. Fortunately, I am well enough trained that I saw each attempt and drove them to the ground. I prefer to fight standing, so I can hit without being hit and wear down the attacker by making him work.

Training and experience. I know you want some piece of helpful advice you could use right now, but it doesn't work that way. Nothing I or anyone tells you will teach you how to be able to handle yourself competently on the ground, like that. It takes time and experience in training on the ground. I would suggest in enrolling at a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym or join your schools wrestling team to learn how to fight on the ground.

Take classes, for this situation sambo, mma, or bjj would be best. >for this situation<. Dont expect to learn how to fight through the internet.

Hide your face but leave a small space to see him, push him with your feet and stand up .

Just get right back up while protecting your face.

When someone trys to take you down keep your legs stance wide and don't let them get their arms under your arms that's hows they grab a hold and throw you down.
