How to not get so dizzy when spinning?

Erin has the best trick I've heard of. With each spin, turn your head quickly and spot your target, focus on that. Your mind will disregard the blur and focus on where you want it to, this should help reduce vertigo.

You will see other athletes use this technique as well. I watch alot of dancing competition shows with my wife and when ever they spin you'll see them do this.

You are getting dizzy because you are not focusing on the target - you are basically flying blind when you did the spinning back kick and hoped your foot hits the target. When you turn to spin, your head should be turning so your eyes can see the target before you complete the kick and your foot make contact with the target.

If you are kicking in such a way that you hit the target before you see it, then you did it wrong.

Probably because the reason you get dizzy is the force of gravity because you spin in the same area more than twice, which results in the temporary loss of equalibrium. When you do side kicks and backspins, you are moving around a lot more and not really staying in the same area, which results in less dizziness.

Cung li has lots of videos on spinning back kicks.. He does them more then any other fighter.. its all about technique and getting use to it..

the only one i've heard of is if you're spinning around, try to focus on one spot on the wall or something. idk if it works though

I've heard a lot of tricks and tips that don't seem to work very well, but in sports where you spin a lot (eg. lots of backspins and turning side-kicks), what really works so that you don't get as dizzy?
