How to combine Krav Maga and strength training?

I respect your obvious dedication to what you are doing .

Firstly ,as it sounds that you are doing the training to keep fitness and muscular levels up - I would recommend dropping Krav Maga for another style such as Muay Thai .I have studied Krav Maga for three years and I can tell you that ,though the training may be tough (note that the only real place to train is in Iran ,due to the Fight or Die nature of the style) it aims primarily at bringing an opponent down .At its roots ,the art condones grabbing of hair ,breaking of absolutely anything in your body and even eye gouging .You will learn various pressure points that will deal much pain ,if you are taught correctly ,but will gain small knowledge of technique .

Muay Thai is more active - and much more useful .You will bulk ,learn technique and gain intense knowledge of the power transfer in your body .Trust me .

Also ,I advise not hitting the gym too hard ,as you could preeminently damage your body .i have been there .

I want to do Krav Maga 3 hours a week, 1 hour each session on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I want to combine it with my strength training heavy lifting on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Sunday is my only rest day. For strength training I do 5 free-weight barbell compound lifts and 2 bodyweight exercises: Bench Press, Squat, Deadlift, Overhead Press, Barbell Row, Push-Ups, and Chin-Ups. Is this a good way to combine the two programs? Should I make some changes so I don't over train my body? Please and thanks.
